Still on a hiatus
Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you know I’ll hopefully be back from my hiatus at the end of august. I hope everyone is doing well.
I’m on hiatus
If you’re reading this it’s because I want to let you know that I’ve reached the end of my queue. From now on there will be no posts until I’m back from my hiatus.
So, after a month or so of inactivity, a bunch of articles were published within the past few days on Ladybug. All of them say it will come out during “the second quarter of 2015.” So, probably around spring 2015? Whatever, we’ve waited this long already, I’m not going to be too upset about a difference of a few months.
On a happier note, lookit this nice quote:
"We fell in love with LadyBug as soon as we laid our eyes upon it," said Paula Taborda dos Guaranys, head of content and programming at Canal Gloob. “We’re witnessing in the entertainment industry throughout the world that girls are finally taking on their worthy role as heroes. They are strong and powerful – and LadyBug is part of that. She takes part in a great adventure and does it with grace.”
I’m always happy for more girl power :D!
There’s also some other stuff about licensing deals, though I haven’t seen anything in these articles on the licensing front that wasn’t already on PGS’s Ladybug page a while back.
I haven’t exhaustively searched for every article on the subject, I just skimmed a couple before running off to write this post, and I’ll edit this post with more information if I find anything else of note.
EDIT: I found the full quote here, and it’s even better :D. The last bit is especially interesting:
“The series brings action in a wondrous setting and dynamic characters combined with amazing artwork. It has all the values that Gloob stands for; that’s why it fits so perfectly with us. We’re certain it’s going to be a worldwide success!”
Well, from what I’ve heard, Gloob as a company doesn’t like anime very much so I’m not sure how backhandedly I should interpret that bit about it lining up with their values.
But who cares about that! I like the bit about ‘amazing artwork’ and ‘dynamic characters’ much more :D! Here’s to hoping this means they managed to make the CG look good.
